Getting Here
The closest airport is Santa Barbara. However, tickets to here are generally quite high. The next best airport is Burbank, only about 75 minutes from Ojai. LAX is usually a 1.5 to 2.5 hour drive depending on traffic.
We are in Southern California. Travel to and from Ojai is easiest and fastest with a car.
If driving is not an option, Amtrak stops in Ventura and from there, Gold Coast Transit is the bus line to catch. Once in Ojai, there is a local trolley that rolls around. It's the country, so access to Uber and Lyft is limited once in the Valley. Topa Topa Taxi is more reliable.
Staying Here
We have a range of accomodations in our little town. Since the outlawing of AirBnB in Ojai, there are less alternative options in the heart of downtown, but plenty of sweet little cottages on the perimwters of the valley. VRBO sometimes also has listings.
Ojai Rancho Inn
Community hip vibe. Aimed at a younger crowd. Motel style. Lots of triangles and arrows. You might love it. You might find it a bit loud.
Lavender Inn
Classic Bed and Breakfast complete with a front porch. Right in the middle of town. Kind people.
Su Nido Inn
Very comfortable and accommodating. Easy walking to everything in down. Quiet. Expensive. Good owners.
Pepper Tree Retreat
A sweet place of spiritual history in the Ojai Valley. Connected to the Krishnamurti Foundation of America. Tucked back in the East End.
Ojai Retreat
Spiritually historical, simple, and sweet. Connected to the Krishnamurti scene. Good people.
Ojai Valley Inn and Spa
The most expensive place you can stay while here with all the expected perks like a golf course, fancy dining, and a spa.
Emerald Iguana Inn
Tucked back in a neighborhood of downtown Ojai offering sweet cottages with full kitchens. Private and quiet. Expensive.
Blue Iguana Inn
Owned by same family as the Emerald, offering a somewhat similar experience a little out of town.
Hummingbird Inn
Recently renovated, offering rooms with full kitchens, and a pool, this place is a great deal and the owners are good.
The Oaks at Ojai
Right in the heart of town, the Oaks is a great deal with access to fitness classes and low calorie meals.
Caravan Outpost
Have you always wanted to stay in an Airstream Trailer? Now is your chance.
