It's my second time at Tara Mandala in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. A group of us went 4 years ago in 2014 when Jetsumna Tenzin Palmo taught the 37 Precepts of the Boddhisattva.
The joy of being in the teachings, in the mountains, with fellow searchers in silence is unexplainable, ineffable and undeniable.
We had two teachers. The amazing Pieter Oosthuizen illuminated the Mahayana path and the evolution of Buddhism from the First Council, approx. 483BCE through the end of Mayahana in India around 1200CE. We gave our primary attention to Prajña Paramita and the Heart Sutra through study and meditation. Jetsumna Tenzin Palmo taught on The Bodhisattva's Garland of Jewels.
I will be making an attempt over the next collection of short blogs to share Jetsumna's teachings on The Bodhisattva's Garland of Jewels as a way to help them settle more deeply into my own heart.
